Caregiver placement
Once a permit is in place, we help place a caregiver from abroad or from people already in Israel.
Yad Harutzim places foreign caregivers. Placement happens only after the Population and Immigration Authority has issued an employment permit, and only with a worker who holds a valid caregiving visa.
We have a pool of hundreds of workers trained for caregiving, and agreements with overseas staffing partners. The countries include the Philippines, India, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Moldova, Sri Lanka, Bulgaria, Romania. Availability changes, and a call is how we see who fits now.
How screening works
- Checks with authorities in the country of origin, and disqualification where there is a criminal record.
- Medical examinations and confirmation of fitness for the work.
- A personal interview, and checks of references from previous employers.
- Training before arrival in Israel, including basic Hebrew words and sentences, for workers coming from abroad.
- A further check of practical ability after arrival, before placement in a home.
